Example:

(Image URL + Text Prompt + Parameters)

Additional Tips:

There are two ways to activate Remix mode:

  • Type /prefer remix in the chat and press Enter.
  • Go to /settings and toggle on the ️ Remix Mode button.
Step 2: Select an image and open Remix
  1. Once Remix mode is activated, generate an image using the /imagine command.
  2. Click on the V1, V2, V3, or V4 buttons to select the variation you want to remix.
  3. Click on the Remix button to open the Remix window.

Step 3: Edit the Prompt and other settings

  3. Click Submit to generate a new variation based on your edits.
Step 4: Repeat and refine

  • Continue editing the Prompt and other settings until you are satisfied with the results.
  • You can always undo your changes and try again.

Tips for Optimal Results:

  • Start with a clear vision: Define the specific changes you want to make before entering Remix mode.

  • Experiment with different variations: Try different combinations of edits to explore creative possibilities.
  • Use the undo button: If you’re not happy with a change, you can always undo it and try again.

Multi Prompts

in Midjourney is a powerful technique that allows you to separate and prioritize different elements of your Prompt. By using the :: symbol, you can fine-tune your instructions and generate images that more closely match your vision.

Here’s how it works:

  • Separate elements: Use :: to separate different concepts or objects in your Prompt. For example, hot::dog would tell Midjourney to generate an image of a hot dog, while hot dog would likely result in an image of a dog.
  • Prioritize elements: You can add a number after :: to indicate the importance of each element. A higher number means a higher priority. For example, hot::2 dog would emphasize the “hot” aspect of the Prompt, while hot::1 dog would give equal weight to both “hot” and “dog.”
  • Negative prompt weights: Use - followed by a number to remove or reduce the presence of an element. For example, hot::dog -.5 would reduce the likelihood of the image containing a hot dog.

Here are some examples of how you can use Multi Prompts:

  • Create a specific scene: A red barn in a field at sunset::2, a farmer walking towards the barn::1
  • Generate an image with a certain style: A portrait of a woman in the style of Van Gogh::2, wearing a blue dress::1
  • Combine multiple concepts: A cityscape with a flying car::2, a robot walking down the street::1

space ship

Prompt Weights allow you to assign relative importance to different elements of your Prompt in Midjourney. This provides greater control over the generated image, helping you achieve the desired results more precisely.

How to Use Prompt Weights:

  • Separate elements in your prompt using a double colon (::).
  • After the colon, add a number to define its relative importance:
    • Higher numbers indicate greater emphasis.
    • Lower numbers indicate less emphasis.

Example:

  • space::2 ship emphasizes “space” twice as much as “ship.” This will likely generate images of space with a ship as a minor element, compared to space:: ship where both elements have equal importance.

Additional Points:

  • Model Versions 1, 2, and 3 only accept whole numbers as weights.
  • Model Versions 4, Niji 4, Niji 5, 5, 5.1, and 5.2 support decimal weights for more precise control.
  • Unspecified weights default to 1 (equal importance).

Permutation Prompts

empower you to generate multiple variations of a prompt with a single command. This feature lets you explore different creative directions and fine-tune your results efficiently.

How to Use Permutation Prompts:

  1. Enclose your list of options within curly braces { }:

    • Separate each option with a comma (,).
    • You can include text, image prompts, parameters, or prompt weights.
  2. Type /imagine followed by your prompt:

    • For example: /imagine a naturalist illustration of a {pineapple, blueberry, rambutan, banana} bird
  3. Midjourney will generate a separate image for each option in your list.

    • In the above example, it will generate four images: one each for a pineapple, blueberry, rambutan, and banana bird.
  4. Confirm that you want to generate all variations.

    • Midjourney will ask for confirmation before generating the images.

Additional Tips:

  • Permutation Prompts are available in Standard and Pro Plans only.
  • You can use multiple Permutation Prompts in a single command.
  • Use parameters to further refine your results.
  • Experiment with different options and combinations to discover unique and creative outcomes.
