How to use Midjourney with Discord

Midjourney, the powerful AI art generator, pairs seamlessly with Discord to bring your imagination to life. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, this guide will equip you with the knowledge to dive into the world of AI-generated art.

Step 1: Sign up for Discord

  1. Go to the Discord website: https://discord.com/
  2. Click the “Login” button.

3. If you want to use the app, click the “Download” button. After that, sign up and log in.

Step 2: Sign up for Midjourney

  1. Go to the Midjourney website: https://www.midjourney.com/
  2. Click the “Join the Beta” button.
  3. A pop-up window will appear.
    • If you are using Discord on a web browser, click the “Continue to Discord” button.
    • If you are using Discord on the app, click the “Join Midjourney” button.

Step 3: Connect Discord to Midjourney

  1. Go back to Discord.
  2. On the left side, you will see a chat with the Midjourney logo.
  3. In the Newcomer Room, you will see a list of rooms to choose from. You can choose any room.

 

Step 4: Start generating images

  1. In the chat box, type /imagine and select the “prompt” tab.
  2. In the “Prompt” box, type the text you want to use to generate the image. For example, if you want to create an image of a yellow bear wearing a red shirt holding a jar of honey, you would type:

  1. Press Enter to send the command. Wait for a few moments for Midjourney to process the image.

Step 5: Refine and save the image.

  1. Midjourney will send you a grid of 4 images.
  2. Use the U button to upscale the image you want.
  3. Use the V button to have Midjourney generate more images based on the one you selected. Midjourney will send you another grid of 4 images.

For example, if you like the third image, press U3. Midjourney will upscale the image for you.

To save the image, click on it. A pop-up window will appear. Click the “Open in Browser” button.

The image will open in your web browser. Right-click on the image and select “Save” to save it to your computer.
